Privacy Policy

Last updated: 8 November 2026

This notice explains how Cleancy LLP ("Cleancy", "we", "us") collects and uses your personal data when you visit cleancy.in, book a doorstep car wash, detailing or upholstery cleaning service, contact us, or post a review. It is written to meet the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and the Digital Personal Data Protection Rules, 2025.

Cleancy LLP is the Data Fiduciary for your personal data: we decide why and how it is used. You are the Data Principal.

1. Personal data we collect and why

We collect only what we need to provide our services. Here is each item and the purpose we use it for:

  • Mobile number — to confirm your booking, call or WhatsApp you about the visit, send your order number and bill, and to verify you when you post a review.
  • Name — to address you and identify your booking.
  • Service address and location pin — so our crew can reach you and plan routes for the day.
  • Car model (and number plate where needed) — to choose the right package, products and price.
  • Service, date, time and special instructions — to schedule and carry out the service you asked for.
  • Photos of your car or furniture before and after the service — taken by our crew as a record of the work done and to resolve any complaint or damage claim.
  • Payment details — the amount, payment mode (cash or online) and, for online payments, the transaction reference or screenshot. We do not collect or store card numbers, UPI PINs or bank passwords.
  • Feedback and reviews — your name, star rating, comments and any photos you choose to upload, published on our Reviews page.
  • Messages — what you send us on WhatsApp, phone or email (info@cleancy.in), to answer you.
  • Device and usage data — IP address, browser type, pages visited and the ad or link that brought you to us, to keep the site secure, prevent fake bookings and spam, and understand which pages and ads work.

2. Our basis for using your data

  • Your consent — when you submit a booking, contact us or post a review, you give your data voluntarily for the purposes listed above. You can withdraw consent at any time (see section 7).
  • Legitimate uses permitted by law — for example, keeping tax and accounting records, complying with legal requests from authorities, and responding to a medical or safety emergency.

We send offers and reminders on WhatsApp, SMS or calls only if you have agreed to receive them. You can stop them at any time by replying "STOP" or telling us — this will not affect your bookings.

3. Cookies and analytics

Our website uses cookies and similar technologies from:

  • Google Analytics — to measure visits and how pages are used.
  • Google Ads and Meta (Facebook/Instagram) Pixel — to measure whether our ads lead to bookings and to show our ads to people likely to be interested.

These providers may receive your IP address, device information and pages visited, and process them under their own privacy policies. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, use the Google Analytics opt-out, and manage ad preferences in your Google and Meta account settings. The website will still work if you block these cookies.

4. Who we share your data with

We do not sell your personal data. We share it only as needed to provide our service, with:

  • Our service crew (employees and independent car wash executives) — your name, mobile, address, location and booking details, only for the visits assigned to them.
  • Service providers who process data on our behalf — website and database hosting (Hostinger), WhatsApp and Meta, Google (Analytics, Ads, Maps), and payment apps or gateways you choose to pay with. They may use the data only to provide their service to us.
  • Authorities — government, police, courts or regulators when required by law.

Some of these providers may store or process data outside India. We transfer data only to countries not restricted by the Government of India under the DPDP Act.

5. How long we keep your data

  • Booking, bill and payment records — for as long as tax, GST and accounting laws require us to keep them.
  • Contact details and service history — while you remain our customer. If you ask us to delete them, or once they are no longer needed for the purpose they were collected for, we erase them, unless the law requires us to keep them.
  • Before/after service photos — for as long as needed to handle complaints or claims about that service.
  • Reviews — until you ask us to remove them, or we remove them.
  • Security and access logs — at least one year, as required by the DPDP Rules, 2025.

6. How we protect your data

We use reasonable security safeguards, including encrypted HTTPS connections, password-protected systems with access limited to staff who need it, restricted crew access to only their assigned bookings, regular backups, and logs of access to our systems. If a personal data breach affects you, we will inform you and the Data Protection Board of India as required by law, explaining what happened, the likely impact and the steps we are taking.

7. Your rights

Under the DPDP Act, you have the right to:

  • Access — get a summary of the personal data we hold about you, how we use it, and who we have shared it with.
  • Correction and update — fix anything inaccurate, incomplete or out of date.
  • Erasure — ask us to delete your data, except where the law requires us to keep it.
  • Withdraw consent — as easily as you gave it. Withdrawal does not affect anything done before it, but we may no longer be able to provide services that need that data.
  • Grievance redressal — complain to us about how your data is handled.
  • Nominate — name a person to exercise these rights on your behalf in the event of your death or incapacity.

To use any of these rights, email info@cleancy.in or WhatsApp/call +91 90364 02706 from the mobile number you booked with. We may ask you to confirm your identity before acting on the request.

8. Grievances and complaints

If you have a concern about your personal data, contact our Grievance Officer:

  • Email: info@cleancy.in (subject: "Privacy request")
  • Phone / WhatsApp: +91 90364 02706

We will acknowledge your request promptly and resolve it within 90 days. If you are not satisfied with our response, you may complain to the Data Protection Board of India after first contacting us.

9. Children

Our services are meant for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 18 without verifiable consent from a parent or lawful guardian. If you believe a child has given us personal data, contact us and we will delete it.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy when our services or the law change. The date at the top shows the latest version. If we make important changes to how we use your data, we will tell you before they apply.
